Spiders make my skin crawl. They seem to be one of those creatures that a majority of people have a problem with (I say majority because my Dad will save the "good" ones to release them outside... I think his kind are few and far between! My Mom HATES them). I couldn't even bring myself to name this post "spider" because I think its an ugly word. I have been lucky these last few years living in Utah that there really aren't many creepy crawlers around - not even close to what Florida and Tennessee have! However, a big, fat black spider decided to grace my dining room ceiling this morning. I couldn't even bring myself to snag him with a paper towel, I got out the vacuum and sucked him off (from a safe distance of like 5-6 feet- heehee). I have been squirming and creeped out all morning because of it! Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps and I start looking around the room for one to jump out at me. Guh! Anyone else feel the same?

We have no spiders. Our house is heavily coated with Ortho Home Defense (about $15 for a couple years worth, get it at Walmart, Home Depot, etc.) We'll probably get cancer but at least I don't have to see spiders.
i definitely feel the same way. i hate spiders. i'm not sure that spencer believes i kill them when he's not around because whenever he's home and i find a spider, even he's on the other side of the house, i get him to take care of it. i am trying to teach benny to be tough about them, though. that's hard when it's mostly me around!
I am the same way..they always seem to come out when Blaine is gone. The vaccumm is a good idea...I always just douse them in bug spray.
That's totally me! Complete with creepy crawly dance as I try to get away from them.
I vacuum them up or make Spencer take them away.
I used to hate them, but then I saw "A Bug's Life" so I started saving them. I even went through an earthworm saving phase. Luckily that one is over. But I will usually just put them in a cup and toss them outside. Then I sanitize the cup.
