"Cheese"

Learning to say 'cheese' has stolen my heart... take one look at that scrunched face and how could it not?

...I think the country crock hat adds a little something, don't you?

Dainty or Modest?

Yet to be determined! We tried for a gender check on Wed but thanks to an umbilical cord between the legs we were unable to find out if it is a little miss or a little mr tucked snuggly inside of me. Our ultrasound tech asked us to come back Tuesday morning (free of charge) to get a definite answer... here is to hoping! I should have taken the pregnancy dream I had the other week as a premonition -- I dreamed that we went for the gender check and the baby had CLOTHING ON so we couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl. Ah, got to love those crazy dreams...

Meanwhile, here are two of the snapshots we got (good luck trying to identify- I should have blacked out her descriptions and left you guessing! and is it just me or does the baby seem to have sunglasses on? haha)...

SOLD

This news is still sinking in! As of Friday, the 12th, our townhome is under contract and set to close on March 24th! Unreal, right? We were on the market for a total of 58 days and got really close to our asking price. Crazy! Hopefully everything continues without any issues!

Let the adventures begin!

... oh yeah, and if anyone knows of any commercial or residential construction management jobs in TN, that is where we'd like to end up this spring :) Bring on any and all leads!!!

VDay 2010

It was my turn for Valentines plans this year and unfortunately inner tube sledding was ruled out by this babe inside of me, so we went to dinner & Color Me Mine - one of those nifty pottery places where you get to paint your piece and they glaze & fire it for you (you know, that birthday party you went to when you were 10?). Dinner was on BMC thanks to Matt's 8 hour party w/the fire department at the store on the Saturday before Christmas. THANK GOODNESS we "called ahead" and got on the waiting list - we arrived at Texas Roadhouse at 6:30 and I am pretty sure the Fire Marshall would not have been pleased with the total occupancy of the building. You could have easily crowd surfed to the front to be seated, but I didn't think people would have appreciated it. But, let me tell you, IT WAS EXCELLENT. The service was SO fast and the food was DELISH. Definitely recommending it. YUM.

We then headed over to Color Me Mine where we ended up spending 2.5 very tedious hours. Whew. I think if you're an artist you could have painted our little pieces in a flash, but we were somewhat meticulous and indecisive (which in no way reflects perfection of our projects)! Probably not a good place for a first date since you don't talk to each other too much as you're focusing on your masterpiece. In the end, we have two grand creations to remind us of Vday 2010... I'll sure we'll treasure them forever as they collect dust somewhere :) All in all it was fun & I'd recommend checking it out at least once (or maybe multiple times for those who are so inclined).

When did he grow up?

I picked up a snazzy (pronounced sch-nazzy) suction cup bowl for Mason and put it to use this morning - he chowed on some yogurt and peaches sans Mommy. What a big boy! Is it OK to get nostalgic when he is only 15 1/2 months?

Fun w/the Youth

Matt had a blast the other weekend when he went up to a camp near Heber and camped (in cabins) w/the Young Men and Young Women from church. They played in the snow almost the entire time and luckily no one froze! Here are some pictures from the fun:
