It was my turn for Valentines plans this year and unfortunately inner tube sledding was ruled out by this babe inside of me, so we went to dinner & Color Me Mine - one of those nifty pottery places where you get to paint your piece and they glaze & fire it for you (you know, that birthday party you went to when you were 10?). Dinner was on BMC thanks to Matt's 8 hour party w/the fire department at the store on the Saturday before Christmas. THANK GOODNESS we "called ahead" and got on the waiting list - we arrived at Texas Roadhouse at 6:30 and I am pretty sure the Fire Marshall would not have been pleased with the total occupancy of the building. You could have easily crowd surfed to the front to be seated, but I didn't think people would have appreciated it. But, let me tell you, IT WAS EXCELLENT. The service was SO fast and the food was DELISH. Definitely recommending it. YUM.
We then headed over to Color Me Mine where we ended up spending 2.5 very tedious hours. Whew. I think if you're an artist you could have painted our little pieces in a flash, but we were somewhat meticulous and indecisive (which in no way reflects perfection of our projects)! Probably not a good place for a first date since you don't talk to each other too much as you're focusing on your masterpiece. In the end, we have two grand creations to remind us of Vday 2010... I'll sure we'll treasure them forever as they collect dust somewhere :) All in all it was fun & I'd recommend checking it out at least once (or maybe multiple times for those who are so inclined).
