What doesn't fit.....?

Look closely... besides the fact that this cabinet needs organizing, what looks a little out of place?

Have you guessed yet?

TADA! If you guessed the mashed potatoes, you were correct!
Thanks go to Matt for this scene -- he "put dinner away"... :)
At least this was caught only an hour or two later, rather than a few days later!
YUM!

Pregnancy massage: Utopia

I'm not sure if words can really describe how I felt Friday after getting a pre-natal massage... heavenly? In a glorious daze? Pure relaxation. I had a gift certificate to Remedez spa to use and I most definitely chose the right service! By the end of the massage I was on the brink of asking the therapist if she'd come home with me... or about to tell her that I'd give her my first born (Matt didn't find that funny). Every pregnant woman should experience one! (p.s. I thought the picture was too goofy to resist!)

And the winner is....

BOY!

Looks like 18 of you were correct... although that may be 3 people who all voted 6 times. :) Sorry to cut the poll short buuuuut... when I called to schedule my "big" ultrasound for 20 weeks, the office informed me I could come in earlier -- earlier!! I about fell out of my seat when they said I could come in the next week if I wanted. However, I practiced great self restraint (grin) and decided to schedule the appointment for a week later -- on our anniversary! And, being our sneaky selves, decided to hide the date update from our family. Heh heh heh. It was SO fun getting to go yesterday and even more fun getting to share the news! The ultrasound tech informed us she was 99% sure it was a boy - so much so that she told us to go shopping! Because there was some confusion about our appointment yesterday, we will actually be going in for another ultrasound in 2 weeks to take a better look at all the organs - so I'll probably be posting more pictures then!
We couldn't be more excited!

3 years? No way!

I think I can speak for both of us when I say that time has FLOWN by! I can't believe we've been married for 3 years already... and known each other for almost 8! I couldn't imagine life any other way and wouldn't want it any other way - I am married to my best friend and I count myself lucky each day to have him in my life! Here is to many, many more memories to come...

Car show... summer is here!

Summer means car shows, rodeos, fairs, fresh fruit & veggies, bbqs... all sorts of good stuff!  So, in proper summer fashion, we went to our first car show this past weekend!  It was a lot of fun and a GORGEOUS day!  Here are some pics of the cool digs we saw...

Sweet ride... probably one of our favorites at the show :)

I overheard a teenage boy say, "wow, look dad, it's a boss three-hundred-and-two"  HA!

Beautiful....

18 Weeks

Ahh, time flies by....
18 weeks! Soon enough, I can proudly say I'm at the halfway mark. And find out what I'm having!!! I had a doctors appt on Friday and everything sounded good - the heartbeat was 146 bpm and we even heard the baby kicking around while listening for it! I also got a pat on the back from the nurse that my blood pressure was great. :) (as if its something I work for... ha!)

Teaching myself to back sleep has been kind of fun... the first 3 nights I basically didn't sleep and soon realized it was my blasted pillow! Thank you JCPenny for providing me with a fairly inexpensive, perfectly firm pillow for my side sleeping needs. I'm happy to report that I spend a lot of my time on my side at night... but even happier to report that the doctor confirmed that if you do end up on your back and it does cut off your blood supply, you'll feel it and react. Good thing the human body is so smart like that :)

The nausea is at a bare minimum now-a-days! I never thought it'd happen! A lot of women say you "just wake up one day and realize you feel good!", but I'd say mine was more of a gradual process. More like, "wow, I only threw up once this week!" or "I can actually count how many times I was nauseous today - instead of it being constant!". I have to note that Heavenly Father blesses us with an amazing ability to forget... even though this has only faded in the last 2 weeks or so, I am already thinking in my mind "ah, that wasn't too bad, I made i... I guess I could do it again" - although I distinctly remember how wretched I thought it was for the good 2 months it was happening! Amazing.

Pamper Women Day

I can still remember being 18 and my Bishop at church announcing over the pulpit that all women needed to stand to receive a Mother's Day gift... and then he called me out by name and said "Jordyn, that includes you!". Although I've been celebrating Mother's Day for a few years now, this one was just a little more special as we now have a little one in the oven. Matt woke me with a fabulous breakfast in bed, followed by a card from him, a card from Sammy (cat), a gift from him, and a gift from the baby! To top it all off, it was a gorgeous day! Thank you Matt & everyone else for making it such a great day :)

SPRING!

We have been anxious to get something in the ground in our back yard... particularly since we now have a handy-dandy sprinkler system thanks to my Dad and Matt! Although the plants need some time to grow and fill out, the back is already looking good!! Makes me want to have some lemonade.... Ü

Smashing good times!

Going back in time a few weeks, I had SUCH a great birthday! I had plenty of renditions of "Happy Birthday" and surprises (truly surprised - in spite of a few hints a long the way :) throughout the day! I really couldn't have asked for a better 24th birthday (on the 24th, in the 4th month, when I was 14 weeks and 4 days pregnant... muwahahah!). Here are a few pictures that exhibit some of the fun! ---
(p.s. I promise those are stick on earrings on Atticus & Matt...)
