Ahh, time flies by....
18 weeks! Soon enough, I can proudly say I'm at the halfway mark. And find out what I'm having!!! I had a doctors appt on Friday and everything sounded good - the heartbeat was 146 bpm and we even heard the baby kicking around while listening for it! I also got a pat on the back from the nurse that my blood pressure was great. :) (as if its something I work for... ha!)
Teaching myself to back sleep has been kind of fun... the first 3 nights I basically didn't sleep and soon realized it was my blasted pillow! Thank you JCPenny for providing me with a fairly inexpensive, perfectly firm pillow for my side sleeping needs. I'm happy to report that I spend a lot of my time on my side at night... but even happier to report that the doctor confirmed that if you do end up on your back and it does cut off your blood supply, you'll feel it and react. Good thing the human body is so smart like that :)
The nausea is at a bare minimum now-a-days! I never thought it'd happen! A lot of women say you "just wake up one day and realize you feel good!", but I'd say mine was more of a gradual process. More like, "wow, I only threw up once this week!" or "I can actually count how many times I was nauseous today - instead of it being constant!". I have to note that Heavenly Father blesses us with an amazing ability to forget... even though this has only faded in the last 2 weeks or so, I am already thinking in my mind "ah, that wasn't too bad, I made i... I guess I could do it again" - although I distinctly remember how wretched I thought it was for the good 2 months it was happening! Amazing.
