15 weeks isn't exactly a mile marker, but it is how old Mase is today! It is a little unreal that we're getting close to the 4 month mark - when he was born that seemed like so far away.
Current events: we think Mason might be teething. I know, crazy, right? Turns out Matt got his first tooth around 4 months and I got mine a few days shy of 5 months, so we really could be entering into the teething realm (hereditary). As a new Mom, I've learned that teething is not fun. OK, so some kids seem to just get a tooth and don't give any signs of enduring the process, but lets just say that Mason is definitely letting us know what is going on! Drooling - of course - chewing on everything - sure - but a temperature, diaper rash, along with other unpleasant things are coming with it! One of those is his sleeping pattern - demolished. He used to go to bed at 7:30, I'd quietly feed him at 9, and he would wake once usually about 8 hours later to eat, then sleep until 7:30. Beauty! The last 4 days? Waking every 1-3 hours... all night! Ack! He isn't hungry or necessarily 'in pain', he just needs a little comfort and he conchs back out for a brief period before repeating the process. Poor little guy, we feel so bad for him! We've been trying tylenol (although I dont like to use it often), just picked up some hyland teething tabs, wet chilled washcloth, rubbing his gums with our fingers, etc. Anyone have other suggestions? Endure? :) At least I hear the first tooth is the worst... I just hope this doesn't last a month!
So, although we're coping with that little adventure, life is still good and he is still our smiley man - regardless of how tough the night was and how little sleep he got, he is always ready with a huge grin in the morning. On another note, he has also discovered his toes and grabs them every chance he gets (I usually have socks on him). I love watching him learn and discover new things - I love being his Mom!

Jordan, you rarely post pics of yourself on your blog and I have to say, that you are a beautiful mom! The last picture of you and Mason is perfect. Being a momma suits you :)
As for the teething, I have no real advice. Nora responded better to baby ibeprofin (spelling?) rather than Tylenol. So, you might want to try that...hmmm...I just did a lot of comfort nursing and endured the hard weeks. The first few teeth were the worst...you can do it!
Orajel is our lifesaver with teething. Goodluck!
I'm with betsey - I really love that picture of the two of you! Make sure Matt has the camera in hand every once in a while :) Just teasing Matt.
Teething advice . . . oral-gel was good like someone already said. Yeah I don't know - I guess it has been too long. Time for a refresher.
He is such a little model with his hands folded and a big smile! And you look great too Jordyn! Good luck with the teething :)
he is such a handsome little dude. I love how cute he is. I can't get over it. On a teething note, orajel worked wonders for my kids instant relief.
I know a lot of people say this is a no-no, but maybe you could try bringing him into bed with you? Both of you will probably get more sleep. Just a thought.
