After Matt worked 8 hours for 'free' on Saturday (UGH. that is another story...) we had a great day together! Matt brought home roses for me (although we had agreed to forgo flowers.... stinker) and we worked together and made ourselves a gourmet meal which included steak, lobster, baked potato, and salad! (We needed a bigger plate). It was my first time ever cooking lobster... our house smelled like fish for a day, but it went well otherwise.
Afterwards, Ellie was fabulous and watched Mason for us so we could go out on a date. If you don't recall, I planned our Valentines last year and ended up with the most expensive dinner of our lives, so this year was Matt's turn.
He surprised me and took us ice skating - outdoors! There is a cute little ice rink in Midway that is under the stars and it was a blast to be out having fun together. Once we were cold & sore we headed to Zermatt to their fabulous Backerei & Eis where all dreams can come true (haha). Seriously, so good. Mmmmm. We stuffed ourselves with european pastry and then headed home for the night. We hope you had a great weekend too!

Wow, your day was so much more exciting than mine! The morning I spent with the Relief Society and the afternoon I spent cooking for a family in the ward. By the time night rolled around, I was dead tired. I think I watched a movie. Well, at least it was about love, just not between me and my husband, lol.
Your food looks delish! I'm very impressed. I'm also missing the passion fruit dessert. mmmmm.
I am so glad you felt better and made just in time for V-day. Sounds like Matt (and Ellie for watching Mason) did a good job making your guys' day memorable. We miss you guys alot!
Okay, where was Mason??? Not at my house and I am not happy about that!! Bring him over again PLEASE!! I love that litle boy and I am pretty sure he loves me too :) Looks like you guys had a great time, I mean it aout Mason I am up for taking him again :)
