Well, here we are, counting down -in the SINGLE DIGITS! I liked the comparison Tia used for this countdown - like a jack- in- the- box that you turn, and turn, and turn, and then...! If only it were more of an exact science. The clothes are washed, the diapers are stowed, the crib only lacks one thing - the baby! Although Sammy fits quite nicely in many of the baby items (he is somewhat attached to the diaper changing pad...), I am certain that Mason will fit the ticket better! I've been checking out different things that supposedly induce labor - anyone have some of their own family secrets for bringing about the anticipated event? I'm all ears :)

well, jordyn, i'm sure everyone has their own solution for you, but in my experience, your baby is coming when your baby is ready. i was dilated to a 4 with benny at 37 weeks (and hadn't felt a thing). with andy i was barely at a one at 37, 38, and 39 weeks. then i went into labor on his due date - doing all my dilating that day. i would say, though, to walk. go walking as much as you can. i think it helps with everything. good luck!
In the book of Baron family secrets it has a specific section on inducing labor. It says that you should stand on your head and eat cottage cheese upside down. Then, walk on a treadmill backwards. That should do the trick!!
Quite obviously nothing I tried worked, considering I was induced 9 days after my due date . . . BUT I did walk a lot and eat spicy food.
