18 Months

No needles this doctor's visit, which was a pleasant surprise! We have a fabulous 23 lb, 32.5 inch bean sprout who is wowing us each day with his leaps and bounds in development. They really seem to take off around 18 months, learning and displaying new skills every day - it is incredible! His language is one of those skills and it is really fun to hear him say (or attempt to say) new words. He is FINALLY using 'Mama' (he had occasionally said it before, but not much and not really towards me) and I am not tired of hearing it yet :) - I think it is adorable. These are some "easter/18 month" pictures -- our little stud muffin!

Graduation!!!!!!!!!!!

We were so blessed that Matt's Mom, Dad, and Step Mom were able to come out for his graduation last week! We had so much fun spending time with family and friends - the week went by WAY too quickly, but we have a ton of good memories to remember! The weather was a little topsy turvy (hello, we just got snow this morning! someone needs to tell Utah it is time to get warm and stay warm) but we had some beautiful sunshine included in the festivities. A big thanks to Kristen & her fam for letting us crash their house Thursday night for a family birthday/graduation party! In true form, the week was inundated with good food, including the largest steaks I have ever bought in my life. 1.5" Porterhouse cut just for us.... they were massive! No one went hungry, that is for sure.
As a side note, I happened to barely use my camera all week... I guess I was too busy with the details?? Who knows. So, these four pictures are as good as it gets for now until I acquire copies from other attendees! Whoops!
Although Matt wasn't too keen on being forced into dressing up and attending both university commencement and his college convocation, it was a good time and really helped 'seal the deal' on the last 5 years we've spent in school! He has been so amazing as he has worked full time (allowing me to stay home w/Mason!), attended school year round (no breaks since 2005!), and still managed to be an active member of the community (our HOA, church leadership, etc). He is a very talented, strong man (and will no doubt be embarrassed that I wrote this) and I am lucky to have him!
I am so, so proud of him.

24 weeks... FINALLY a picture!

Baby #2, I do love you so, I am sorry I have neglected picture taking. Here you are in all your glory at 24 weeks!

P.S. I didn't really have a huge problem with water weight with Mason (or at least it wasn't noticeable to me until the very end) and yet I couldn't get my ring on YESTERDAY. Poo! At this rate I may be swollen to the size of an elephant in no time. I will be employing all suggestions to avoid it, as provided by google, asap. Any additional suggestions are welcome!

Farm Country

With a beautiful Saturday and nothing holding us back, we took our first excursion to the Petting Zoo at Thanksgiving Point yesterday. Mason LOVED it. Seriously. Not only did he love running around and seeing all the animals, but he was completely enamored with his chance to ride a pony (I believe you can see it on his face). I think we'll be going back!

Easter Schnazzy

Since General Conference was Easter Sunday and we didn't attend our usual church services, Mason got to wear his Easter outfit the Sunday before and the Sunday after. He is getting more and more difficult to photograph due to his energetic nature... so, I was grateful to at least get these three shots :) I think he is a pretty cute studmuffin. Watch out ladies!

DIS-GUST-ING

Should I even explain? OH MY GOODNESS! Apparently as I was asking the nice lady in a store whether they validated parking dear Mason was being bombed by some birdies up above their entrance. He is the only one who took the hit... and BOY did he ever take some hits! YUCK!!!!! I didn't even see it until about 25 ft later as we were heading into the parking garage (he didn't seem to notice anything had happened to him). Blech!

He got a very thorough bath tonight.
