We were so blessed that Matt's Mom, Dad, and Step Mom were able to come out for his graduation last week! We had so much fun spending time with family and friends - the week went by WAY too quickly, but we have a ton of good memories to remember! The weather was a little topsy turvy (hello, we just got snow this morning! someone needs to tell Utah it is time to get warm and stay warm) but we had some beautiful sunshine included in the festivities. A big thanks to Kristen & her fam for letting us crash their house Thursday night for a family birthday/graduation party! In true form, the week was inundated with good food, including the largest steaks I have ever bought in my life. 1.5" Porterhouse cut just for us.... they were massive! No one went hungry, that is for sure.
As a side note, I happened to barely use my camera all week... I guess I was too busy with the details?? Who knows. So, these four pictures are as good as it gets for now until I acquire copies from other attendees! Whoops!Although Matt wasn't too keen on being forced into dressing up and attending both university commencement and his college convocation, it was a good time and really helped 'seal the deal' on the last 5 years we've spent in school! He has been so amazing as he has worked full time (allowing me to stay home w/Mason!), attended school year round (no breaks since 2005!), and still managed to be an active member of the community (our HOA, church leadership, etc). He is a very talented, strong man (and will no doubt be embarrassed that I wrote this) and I am lucky to have him!
I am so, so proud of him.
