Oh my.
Then I gasped.
First, because of the SHAMROCKS. Oh my goodness.
Second, because of the last post date - February 25th! Holy cow!
I don't know who I should be apologizing to... you, my blog, the internetsphere, the part of my personality that really enjoys blogging. Maybe all of them. You get the idea. Sorry!
I called Comcast and set up our appointment for our internet to be set up for next Friday, May 6th. We anticipate, come what may, moving in on May 7th - regardless of how many loose ends we have left to tie (we will just tie them after we move in). Tile began yesterday and finish painting will commence this weekend and carpet is slated to be installed this coming week. The end is in sight!
I look forward to posting before and after pictures and giving you a good, long post on the topic of creating our home!
Neglected blog, soon you will be neglected no longer!
Til then... hope you had a great April!

Remodeling...
planning it can be overwhelming.... I can only imagine how the actual remodel might feel! We've been pricing out, picking out, picking up, etc all things home. Bathtub, sink, toilet, tile, carpet, light fixtures, doors, trim, paint, etc etc. We are SO excited to get started on it and get into it and are doing our best to be prepared to hit the ground running once closing happens on March 24th. It is hard to imagine how we're going to get it all done, especially in the time frame we are hoping to do it in, but I know we'll get there one way or another! I just hope it doesn't end up like the Money Pit - remember that movie? I don't know if I remember much of it, but you get the idea. Just think of this scene:
Valentines
A pole barn in Van Leer with an all you can eat Friday night Seafood buffet? Sounds like a date to me! (Sadly, Craig Morgan -who lives in Vanleer- didn't walk in to dine on the crab legs with us). Anyhoo, we spent our Valentines date at this fine eatery followed by a stop at AutoZone and Walmart. Basically, it was perfect. haha Seriously though, it was great and I say three cheers to many more Valentine's dates together! We like each other. A lot.
House FOUND!
No sooner than I had posted about not finding anything that... we found something :) Our first tour through left us really pondering the possibilities and after further consideration, we felt great about the purchase. I say possibilities because... the house is stuck in 1977. Built in 1977 and I am pretty sure the only thing that has been replaced is the water heater. Seriously. Needless to say, we are really excited about it and eager to start the demo and make it our own! The location is PERFECT, the lot is GREAT, and the house has just what we need! Pictures will come once we have 'after' pictures to include :)
Lincoln: 6 months!
Lincoln had his 6 month appointment with a local pediatrician at the very end of January (never too late to post, right!) and is growing great -in spite of the fact that we were all sick for over a month! He was 15.8 lbs and 26.5 inches and lively as he tore all the paper on the examination table. He has since started on solids (cautiously bc of his intolerance to milk and soy) and is really enjoying food! He gobbled down his first meal without any hesitation - this boy was READY. Lucky for him, he gets to hold off on peas and green beans until he is older since they're in the soy family (also all cereals since they're possibly cross contaminated with wheat- a high allergen). So far it is lots of fruits and orange veggies. Hopefully he won’t completely turn into an oompa loompa :) He is such a joy and a wonderful baby - we are so blessed to have him in our family!
