I am back from my blogging hiatus! I've been out of town for the last week and a half and basically internet-less (dial-up + computer in the room mason was sleeping in). So... where to start...
Back to our anniversary! I got a knock on our door around 11 and received gerbera daisies(squeal in delight!), a balloon, and 4 DELICIOUS chocolate dipped strawberries! Talk about spoiled. I gave Matt his present when he got home...and he gave me new perfume and godiva chocolate! Goodness! Yeah, he definitely overdid it... but I dont mind being spoiled from time to time :) We spent our anniversary night at home with a nice steak dinner and my first try at chocolate meringue pie (one of matt's favorite southern specialties). Fun memory from the night: we had run out of potatoes and didn't want to go buy potatoes and then make them... so we went and bought two baked potatoes from Wendys. Best $3 we spent. Then, the next night we went away for a romantic night in Midway (surprise surprise! it's our typical spot). Mason had his first overnighter without the 'rents and did marvelous! The parents did great too (no crying!). And the Grandparents who watched him were fabulous as well! They said he scarfed his food, slept all night, played, and went down for his nap perfectly. BIG THANKS to Grandma and Grandpa Spann! And big thanks to Mason for being a good boy :)
The Flowers
The awesome wallpaper border in the bedrooms and the really cool $7 glass bottle of Norwegian water in our room. No, we didn't drink it. Wanted to, but didn't.
