WE ARE GOING TO THE DR!

It's official! We booked the tickets today! Matt and I have been talking about going to the Dominican Republic for some time and we finally decided that there wasn't any better time than now. We'll be going from August 24th through September 3rd and it is already looking like a super-busy, super-fun itinerary. This will be the first time Matt has been back since returning from his mission in December '04, so he is pretty stoked. Say hello to paradise!

Work...

For those that talk to me (Jordyn) at least occasionally... you probably already knew that my job was heading south for some time now. After a lot of thought (perhaps too much), I finally turned in my notice - and May 31st is my last day! Yay! Although it'll be relieving to be away from the insanity, I am definitely going to miss seeing my friends every morning (midday, afternoon, etc). Here are a few pictures of the people that made this job worth it for the last year :)

Well gee...

I feel goofy even talking about the cat again, since he is quickly taking over the blog, but this is too good to pass up. I got to thinking about his poofy tail yesterday and so I did some research... anyway, I soon started thinking Sammy might be Balinese, rather than Siamese (basically, its a Siamese with longer hair). So, I emailed the breeder and asked if it was possible, and here is her response:
"yes he propably is balimese rather then siamese sometime it is hard to tell at first.So when you register him .He is balimese.I am sorry for the mistake . But as you recall it was my husband who deliveried him to you .I was out of town at the time."
Can we say... "Whoops!?"

Knew you wouldn't believe it...

Without evidence! Sammy absolutely loves water! It has been a developing hobby, starting with playing in his water dish, then moving to his delight in throwing his toys in the toilet and fishing them out and then repeating the process... so, tonight I decided to try a little experiment and see how it went. See below :)

Chach (aka Chalsea) visited Utah this past week and we went to Kneaders for breakfast one morning (YUM!) Surprisingly, they didn't kick us out after chatting there for several hours ;) heehee

FLORIDA

I grew up in Florida - 12 whoppin years of my life! However, when you're in Utah, it is kind of hard to travel there often. Until this year, I hadn't been there in... 4 years? Thats embarassing to admit, but it's true. Anyway, after that long of not being in FL, I randomly ended up there twice in the last month - go figure!

The first time I went by myself and then Matt and I got away together the second. Hello sunshine state! We had a jam-packed schedule with a ton of fun things to do - meaning, we may not have relaxed, but we had a dang good time :) We can't wait to go back soon...
